As all team members are volunteers and most have day-jobs they are limited in the number of events they can cope with and, regretfully, have had to decline a number of invitations. Additionally, Sundays engagements at other churches is very difficult as most are involved in church leadership and worship roles here at Meldrum & Bourtie (not least the minister!).
For the avoidance of doubt - Kirk & Co. do not do birthday parties!

Short
Films
In addition to live performances our puppets have made two short films and
an advert for one of our holiday clubs. You can watch these below.
"Party Poopers" was made on location in Aberdeen city and shire. This
is a contemporary retelling of the Parable of the Great Feast and lasts
about 8-minutes. Party Poopers won an award for innovation
and has been used by schools as far afield as Northern Ireland!
"A Nativity Story" was filmed in and around Oldmeldrum. It features
Mary, Joseph and a donkey visiting local inns and the post office asking for
accommodation. It features local hoteliers and bar staff as well as
our local Postmistress. It was filmed specifically for our Christmas
morning service a few years ago.
The advert for our landlubbers holiday club was filmed, unrehearsed, in a
few minutes with little regard for cinematography! It was, however,
well received both in church and in our local primary school where it was
shown on more than one occassion.
PUPPETS

Our
puppet team brings laughter and joy alongside the message of the Gospel to
children of all ages in various locations and settings.
The team consists of people of all ages, from teenagers to the recently
retired. Below you'll see the kind of places and events where they
have performed, the majority of them annually.
Kirk & Co. also
encourage other churches to develop their own puppet ministry by providing
training sessions.
